Education and Training:

Dr. Hannah Abigail completed a Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship in Youngstown, OH, under the direction of Lawrence A. DiDomenico, DPM, FACFAC. This premier program offers an in-depth approach to foot and ankle reconstruction, including Charcot reconstruction, total ankle joint replacement, and muscle and tissue transfers for complex diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Abigail graduated from the HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Podiatric Medical and Surgical Residency. This residency provided an exceptional opportunity for training with a wide range and high volume of surgical cases. Under the leadership of Residency Director Jorge Matuk, DPM, FACFAS, she experienced an intense and well-structured program with rotations in various specialties and numerous didactic activities.

Professional Background:

Before attending podiatry school, Dr. Abigail spent a year working as a back-office lead in a high-volume surgical practice. This experience helped her gain a comprehensive understanding of patient care and office management, complementing her residency training.

Personal Background:

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dr. Abigail looks forward to returning to her hometown after completing her fellowship in Ohio. Growing up in Dallas with family and friends in the area, she is eager to contribute to the medical community she knows and loves.

Dr. Abigail brings expertise and confidence in handling all aspects of reconstructive foot and ankle procedures, including complex trauma, diabetic ulcer care, flaps, sports medicine, elective reconstruction, and complications.
